The New T10 Agras Spray Drone Joins Our Fleet
Once all unfolded out and the thick carbon fibre arms are locked in to place do you get a feeling of how big this RPA is, with a prop to prop diameter of just under 2 meters but surprisingly light without a battery or any payload (Only 13Kg). With not one but 2 RTK modules sitting on top, it does look quite the unassuming but oversized drone. Its about now you realise the propulsion system, 4 massive 10010 sized motors with a KV value of 84!? 2000w per rotor gives over 44kg of overall pulling power, this all fed through from a suitcase sized 14S LiPo battery (lithium Polymer).
The smallest of the T series, but just as capable as its bigger brothers, the choice to go with the T10 was simple. Anything over a max take off weight of 25kg requires specific licence permissions to be issued by CASA but the funny thing is, anything over 25kg means accreditation is required but when issued, will only be for that specific RPA not any RPA up to, say 55kg whereas once a operator obtains their 25kg accreditation this ultimately covers any RPA up to 25kg. The logic behind this rule is beyond reasonable understanding considering both the T30 and the T10 run on the same platform and are really no different to fly. But, that’s the rules at present.
The T10 achieves an efficiency of 15 acres per hour on average (with a dosage of 4.8 L/acre, spraying width of 5 m, speed of 5 m/s, and height of 2 m) but can also exceed a large spot spraying rate of 100litres per hectare. When it comes to granule fertiliser or seed spreading, it can spread anything up to 5mm in size. The RPA has a spreading width of up to 7 meters
Hourly productivity of 14 acres based on dosage (of seeds) of 2 k g/667 m², flight speed of 7 m/s, and row spacing of 5 m.
Now with the ability to pair the T10 up with either one of our multi spectral units, will give you the ability to prepare prescription maps and pin point what is deficient and what is adequate. The T10 then applies what spray or fertiliser is needed, saving you on chemical and fertiliser, effectively minimising your output but maximising your yield potential. We are currently awaiting the final authorisation from CASA but hope to have the T10 commissioned and fully operational in the coming weeks. There has already been a lot of interest generated and a number of bookings have been taken.
