What is Radiometric Thermal Analysis?

Radiometric Thermal Analysis (RTA) is a sophisticated method utilized to evaluate the thermal properties of materials by measuring infrared radiation emitted from an object. In recent years, the application of drones equipped with specialized thermal imaging cameras has revolutionized this analysis. These drones can efficiently capture thermal data over large areas, providing real-time insights into temperature variations and heat distribution. This technology is valuable in sectors such as agriculture, where it can monitor crop health, and in building inspections, where it identifies insulation deficiencies. By harnessing the power of drones, radiometric thermal analysis becomes more accessible and precise, enabling more informed decision-making across diverse industries.

Roof and Building Inspection

Comprehensive aerial inspections for roofs and buildings are conducted meticulously, ensuring optimal safety and efficiently identifying any potential issues that may arise. This is done by identifying a difference in heat reflection or significant change in temperature. This may indicate a problem such as heat escaping in winter or a compromised underlayment or sarking after a storm.

Search and Rescue

We get a lot of calls from people asking us to help find lost pets. The thermal imaging sensor is an excellent tool in finding those loved animals. Many times we were able to locate them. A word of advice, most of our success stories came from owners acting quickly and reaching out to us within the first 24hrs. The longer it is left, the further distance they may have travelled, the larger the search area the less chance of a successful outcome. DONT DELAY!

Benefits of Thermal Imaging

Radiometric thermal imaging captures temperature data at each pixel, allowing for precise measurements and detailed thermal maps. This technology is essential in identifying anomalies such as heat leaks, electrical issues, or moisture intrusion, which are invisible to the naked eye.

Utilizing thermal imaging drones provides numerous advantages:

  • Enhanced Safety: Drones can access hard-to-reach or hazardous areas, minimizing the risk to inspection personnel.
  • Time Efficiency: Rapid data collection and analysis streamline inspection processes, allowing for quicker identification and resolution of issues.
  • Cost Savings: Early detection of problems can prevent costly repairs and downtime.
  • Versatility: Applicable to a wide range of industries including construction, agriculture, energy, and public safety.
